Many of you have hosted servers to some extent. 99.9% would have been hosted on no-ip.org. However, my ISP has blocked no-ip for unknown reasons (Im pretty sure Its a goverment ban). Anyway, so I haven't experienced the freedom of being an admin and ruling over a small community of players. (And being tyranny LOL :D)
Heres my problem:
I've installed Windows 2008 on a machine that's Intel Core 2 Duo with 2.5 GB ram and 200 GB of disk space. 32 Bit and its 2.00 GHz.
How how do you make this a VPS?
How would I run Jolt on this?
I know how to run Jolt on localhost on a normal computer so don't bother saying anything relating to localhost or running on a normal computer. :)
Please excuse the stupidity of this question, but I really need to know how.
A VPS means a "Virtual Private Server". This means that the operating system is not real, it is only virtual, This can be done through programs such as virtual pc.
You mean something like ESXi or Hyper-V?To put several OP installations on one computer/server or simply put, virtual machines? Unless you misspelled it and meant VPN? That would make more sense, since you seem to be looking for a solution to no-ip being blocked.
I do, excuse any "stupidity," no problem, but can you clarify? :P
